Petit English Garden of MARPLE & POIROT

My wife and I started gardening in Fukuoka (Japan) in 2003. There was nothing but muddy clayey sloping land. At the beginning we made several structure such as steps and paths, and planted turf, fruit trees, roses, herbs etc. In 2010, we visited several famous English gardens, including Sissinghurst Castle Garden, Mottisfont Abbey Garden and Hidcote Manor Garden. We were shocked by the glory of those gardens. Since then, we have been trying to make small but glorious gardens by ourselves.

庭の紹介

　夫婦で庭づくりを福岡の郊外で2003年に始めました.　赤土むきだしの斜面にまず階段や園路をつくって芝をはり、果樹やバラ、ハーブなどを植えました.

　2010年にイギリスの有名なガーデンの、シシングハースト、モティスフォントアビー、ヒドコートマナーなどを回り、その素晴らしさに圧倒され、それから自分たちで小さくても素晴らしい庭をめざして庭づくりをつづけています.

THE CHASTE TREE BLOOMS EVER MORE SPLENDIDLY (ますます咲き誇るセイヨウニンジンボク)

The chaste tree on the eastern side of the main garden has been steadily extending its branches and flowering continuously since it began blooming in July. With more branches sprouting, the number of flowers has increased, and it is now in full, resplendent bloom.

To the left, separated by an arbour seat, stands a jacaranda tree with beautiful foliage, beneath which a dwarf buddleia displays its blue-purple flowers.

The agapanthus beneath the chaste tree has had its leaf tips scorched by the recent strong afternoon sun, so I've placed a sunshade over it. I do wish a cool autumn would arrive soon.

メインガーデンの東側のセイヨウニンジンボクは、七月から咲き始めて以来ずっと枝を伸ばして花を咲かせ続けています。枝数が増えて、花数も増え、咲き誇っています。

アーバーシートを挟んで左側には美しい葉をもつジャカランダの木があり、その下には矮性ブッドレアが青紫の花をつけています。

セイヨウニンジンボクの下のアガパンサスは強い西日で葉先が焼けるので、日よけをかぶせています。早く涼しい秋が来てほしいものです。
