The Mexican marigold started to bloom in December and has been in full bloom ever since, despite the occasional cold spell. The colour of the flowers cheers us up in the dark winter months.
The flowers will continue to bloom for the rest of the month, so we will prune them when they are finished. The pruned branches can easily be rooted by sticking them directly into the ground and will be ready to flower at the end of this year.
12月から咲き始めたレモンマリーゴールドですが、ときどき襲う寒波にも負けずに、ずっと満開で美しく咲いています. この花色は暗くなりがちの冬の私たちを元気づけてくれます.
今月いっぱいぐらい咲き続けますので、花が終わったら剪定をします. 剪定した枝は、直接地面に挿しておけば容易に根付いて、今年の年末には花を挿せてくれます.
