REFURBISHING TERRACED HERB BEDS (ハーブの段々畑のリニューアル)

We made terraced herb beds ten years ago. 

 We used railway sleeper-like wood and concrete blocks. 

There were some decays in the wood, 

and we couldn't stand on the wood for gardening these days. 

So, we refurbished the beds by using concrete blocks. 

(The lowest bed had already been refurbished last year)

 

 

 ハーブの段々畑は10年前に作りました.

枕木もどきの材木とコンクリートブロックを使いました.

材木はところどころ腐ってきて

庭仕事のときに上に乗ることが難しくなりました.

そこでコンクリートブロックを使ってリニューアルしました.
（一番下の段はすでに昨年リニューアルしています）

I removed decayed sleepers, 

and laid concrete blocks on the existing blocks. 

Then I mortared on the blocks with grain, 

and finally painted light brown. 

 

 

 

 

 

腐った枕木を取り除き、

既存のコンクリートブロックの上に新たにブロックを乗せて

モルタルを塗って、木目をつけ

最後に明るいブラウン色のペイントを塗りました.
