Today we had to prune roses in the rain at short notice.
A very strong typhoon is approaching from the south and is forecast to pass close by early next week. We have not pruned the roses at all since the rose season in May, and have let them grow as long as they can, so there are many branches up to two metres long, which could be badly damaged by the strong typhoon winds if they are left as they are.
The few roses that were still in bloom were cut and placed in a vase.
After the typhoon has passed, I would like to prune the roses again on a sunny day to make the autumn roses bloom nicely.

Best wishes

Thanks for your comments. The weather is not as good as we would like it to be. We can only pray.
