Akebia is flowering vine.
We grow Akebia quinata and Akebia trifoliata,
and both bear edible fruit, containing a sweet white flesh.
Their flowers look different;
those of Akebia quinata are pink and large,
while A. trifoliata has small dark-purple flowers.

We love the Akebia, we have a couple of them in our garden although ours are only just starting to bud.
