Passionflower is a perennial vine that looks like a clock with three hands, hence the name "Tokei-sou" (”clock flower” in Japanese) in Japan.
I used welded wire mesh to set up scaffolding for the vines on both sides of the garden room window. The right side of the scaffolding is for the passion flower and the left side is for other vines.
Since it was grown as a seedling on the window sill indoors, it had already flowered in early spring, but since it was planted, it has grown many vines and has just started to bloom in summer, when it should be in full bloom. It is also blooming under the eave above the entrance of the garden room.
This flower is a one-day flower, and it wilts the next day. It is a beautiful but fleeting flower.
