RENEWAL OF THE JASMINE FENCE PART I (ジャスミンのフェンスのリニューアル、その１)

 

The jasmine fence that serves as a backdrop for the small fountain heals me every time I pass by with its beautiful flowers and wonderful fragrance in late April. 

However, this fence is almost 10 years old, and its frame wood has become quite damaged and broken. The right side was particularly broken, and the clump of flowers was getting dimpled on the right side.

ジャスミンのフェンスは小さな噴水の背景になり、四月の後半にはその美しい花と素晴らしい香りで横を通るときにいつも癒されていました. 

しかし、このフェンスも10年近くになり、その枠木がかなり傷んできて、壊れてきていました. 特に右側が壊れていて、花のかたまりも右側でくぼんできていました. 

So I decided to replace the fence when the flowers were over, and first pruned all the green branches and leaves of the vines. Next, I untied the vines from the fence and bundled them up. Finally, the fence has been removed.

そこで、花が終わったらフェンスを入れ替えることにしました. まず緑色の枝葉を剪定し、次にフェンスにからまったツルをほどいてはずし、束ねました. そして最後に、フェンスを撤去しました. 

The Christmas Holly that I planted just below the fence was leaning toward the other side of the fence in search of sunlight, so I pulled a thin branch toward the front and supported it with a post. I'm hoping this will help the Christmas Holly grow straight up.

フェンスのすぐ下に植えているクリスマスホリーが日光を求めて向こう側に傾いているので、細い枝を手前に引っ張って支柱で支えました. これでクリスマスホリーがまっすぐ上に育ってくれるかなと思います. 

The new fence is going to be made of artificial wood and will be installed at a lower height than before, because the Christmas Holly, which has grown tall, will take care of the blindfold. 

新しいフェンスは人工木製のものを使って、前より高さを低く抑えて設置しようと思っています. というのは、クリスマスホリーが背が高くなって、目隠しの役割をはたしてくれるようになったからです.
