LOVELY OXALIS (可愛いオキザリスたち)

Many white flowers and few pink flowers of Oxalis purpurea have been blooming since October.  The flowers open when the sun shines on them, and otherwise they keep closed for as long as several days.

These two pictures were shot on a sunny day.  Oxalis with pink flowers has dark purple leaves.



たくさんの白い花とわずかな数のピンクの花が10月から咲き続けています。日光が当たっているときだけ花は開き、それ以外は何日間でもずっと花は閉じたままです。この2枚の写真は天気の良い日に撮影したもので、ピンクの花のオキザリスは葉も濃い紫色です。）

This photo was shot when the sunshine had just gone.  Flowers are closing.

（これはちょうど日が射さなくなったときの撮影で、花が閉じようとしています。）

And these two shot in the morning, when the sun started to shine on them.  The flowers were still asleep.

（そして、この2枚は朝日が射し始めたときに撮影したもので、まだ花は眠っています。）

The pink flower at the center is anemone.  

Pink herebores are shining in the morning sunlight beyond the sleeping oxalis flowers.
