Strangely enough, last spring no bumblebees came into the garden at all. As a result, the blueberry yield was extremely low and only about 30% of the jam could be made compared to previous years. We were very worried about the bumblebees coming this year, but today about 5 of them came and so did the honeybees. This is a relief.
We pruned our blueberry bushes hard last autumn, so there are fewer flowers this year, but it looks like we will have some harvest.
去年の春は奇妙なことにハナバチが全然庭に来ませんでした. そのため、ブルーベリーの収量が極端に少なく、ジャムも例年の3割ほどしか作れませんでした. 今年はハナバチが来てくれるかとても心配していましたが、今日、5匹ほどやってきて、ミツバチも来てくれました. これで一安心です.
去年の秋にブルーベリーの木を強剪定したので、今年は花も少ないのですが、ある程度収穫がありそうです.
