There was a heavy thunder storm last Wednesday night. Next morning we found that the potatoes had been blown down, probably due to heavy rain. Some of stalks were broken. Marple supported stalks with stakes., and fortunately, most of the broken stalks revived.

Other tall plants such as foxgloves, poppies and campions had not been damaged. We felt relieved.
