Two months have passed since I posted the rose seedlings on 9th March. Some seedlings have been growing well, and others very slowly. In general, seedlings from seeds of Rosa 'Constance Spry' are larger than those from seeds of Rosa 'Gertrude Jekyll'. There is no flower bud at present. I am looking forward to flowering this year.

I have not heard of anyone raising roses from seed. How clever. I wonder if they will grow true?
ReplyDeleteThey are hybrid with an unknown variety, therefore, different colour and shape of flowers are expected. It's exciting to grow them.
Deletewonderful. My husband grew some from seeds we took from a rose in our old garden, it was so nice to have that rose again.
