There grow Hatuyukikazura (Japanese jasmine) branches on top of my Japanese boxwood (Ilex crenata) hedge, and its young pink leaves look as if they are in flower. When we prune the boxwood, we prune them together. If it spreads too much, it will damage the boxwood, but if it grows like this, it looks very nice.
マメツゲの生垣の上にハツユキカズラの枝が伸びて、そのピンク色の若葉があたかも花が咲いているように見えます. マメツゲの剪定の時に一緒に剪定をします. 広がりすぎるとマメツゲを痛めるので困りますが、これぐらいの茂り方だととてもいい感じに見えます.
